About Cindy Carrington:

Cynthia Lee Carrington was born on June 7, 1959, and passed away on January 20, 2023, at
the age of 63. Diagnosed with stage 4 cancer, Cindy died peacefully in her sleep. She was the beloved daughter of Lee and Thelma Carrington and was cherished by her brothers Mark, Dennis, and Mike Carrington, her best friend and sister, Cherie Litz, and sister Annette Carrington.

Cindy brought joy, love, and nurturing care to everyone she met. She traveled widely and made
many friends, keeping her family and friends close to her heart. As JTNPA’s Buyer and
Inventory Manager, Cindy’s keen eye and intuition were responsible for many wonderful
memories for visitors who purchased items from the visitor centers and park stores during her
tenure. These purchases helped fund hundreds of thousands of dollars of park projects. Fondly
remembered as “Sweetie,” Cindy’s contributions to the park and its people were immeasurable. She is deeply missed and forever in our hearts.
