JOSHUA TREE NATIONAL PARK, Twentynine Palms, California – The Joshua Tree
National Park Association has announced a day long community thank you event on
Tuesday, February 12. The event will kick off at 10 am at Park Headquarters in
Twentynine Palms with remarks by park superintendent, David Smith. A series of park
sponsored special interpretive activities will occur during the day, which will close with
an Open House hosted by Superintendent Smith at the Joshua Tree Visitor Center.
Schedule for the day is as follows:
Welcome Address (10 am) Refreshments will be served. Park Headquarters (74485
National Park Drive, Twentynine Palms, CA 92277)
Native Plant Nursery Tours (30 minutes) 10:30 am, 11:30 am, and 1:30 pm

Museum Archives Tours (30 minutes) 10:30 am, 11:30 am, and 1:30 pm

Oasis of Mara Tours (45 minutes) 10:30 am and 1 pm Oasis Visitor Center
Keys Ranch Tours (1 hour) 11:15 am and 12:30 pm Reservations: 760-367-5522
Open House with Superintendent David Smith (5–6:30 pm) Refreshments will be
served. Joshua Tree Visitor Center (6554 Park Boulevard, Joshua Tree, CA 92252)
Rangers are available to take reservations for activities 9 am–4:30 pm, daily.
